MALEKBAKER

About ME

“Finally, A Culture Where Everyone is Welcome.”

MY STORY

My name is Malek, and I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, in a place where many people don’t make it out. Despite the odds, I’ve traveled far and wide, exploring different states and countries, while gaining invaluable life experiences. I am a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, where I honed skills in logistics, operations, and management, alongside advanced training in vehicle operations, preventive maintenance, and safety protocols. My time in the Marines took me to Japan, where I immersed myself in the culture, worked in construction with Japanese colleagues, and became fluent in the language. My life has been a tapestry of overcoming challenges, adaptability, and resilience. I am also in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, which is a cornerstone of my story and my mission.

The past six months have been transformational as I’ve embraced sobriety and worked tirelessly to rebuild my life. Recovery is not just a concept to me; it’s a daily practice. I understand firsthand the mental and emotional struggles of addiction, as well as the guilt and complex thoughts that accompany it. These experiences have driven me to create a program that supports others facing similar battles, helping them find strength and clarity through fitness and mindset.
